Stories are at the heart of everything I do
I’m a natural-born storyteller turned award-winning editor and writer, with a passion for the world’s wide-open spaces, teeming cities and wind-swept coastlines. My mum says that I would dictate my stories to her before I could even hold a pen and I still dream about getting my novel published. Over lockdown I wrote a pilot for a TV show and it just about looks like it might get made. Fingers crossed please everyone.

The thing that ties my passions together is storytelling: I’ve worked as a stylist, scout, shoot producer, journalist, magazine editor and digital content producer. Whether I’m working in TV or print, it’s about creating connections through pictures and words. And I’m always searching for the gold at the end of the rainbow.

Stories will take you places
Both literally and figuratively, stories have the power to transport you. As a travel journalist I’ve travelled from Malawi to the Antarctic and to central China just as the pandemic kicked off. My friends joke that I’m patient X. But I’m serious about the power of stories to change. Stories are how we tell the world who we are. They are the basis of all communication. And told wisely, they can transform the world we live in. Let’s bend the universe.

I’ve created magazines, blogs, social and video content. I’ve worked with brands to develop their tone of voice, speaking to the right person in the right way at the right time. And I’ve developed content strategies that help build engagement between brands and their customers. All the time piecing the narrative together across multiple platforms to promote engagement.
